- Spotify, please fix your app. I've been a loyal customer for years and the app is why. Since 2016, the app doesn't seem to work like it had. This waiting to download.

I know a lot of other people have issues with this, when doing all the steps correctly for downloading playlists with local files on your iphone, it will just say waiting to download. Some say that this just takes a few hours, but nobody wants to wait hours to download the songs when they're excited to play them. So for people who have this problem, this is the only solution ive found.
Step 1: Do all of the normal things to create a playlist on your pc with local files, and download them. Use whichever wifi you want to download them.
Step 2: Open the playlist on your phone's spotify, and press the download button. At this point the problem arrises, where the songs are blacked out and it says waiting to download forever.

Step 3: Close spotify on your phone, while keeping it open on your pc.

Lmk if this works for everyone else, for reference I have an iphone so I'm not sure if it would work differently on androids, but if they also have hotspots try it out.
